Manual Lymphatic Drainage

This is a specialised form of massage that aims to replicate the pumping action our movements make on our lymphatic system.

It has powerful cleansing, relaxing, pain reducing and immune boosting properties by aiding our bodies in expelling the junk normal tissue functions produce.

It is gentle, flowing, rhythmic and very relaxing.

The MLD techniques facilitate the removal of:

Metabolic wastes

Foreign substances from tissue via the initial lymph vessels and the venous capillaries

In addition, it relaxes the sympathetic nervous system, reduces pain, and enhances the activity of the immune system. It is particularly useful in the treatment of the swelling and lymphoedema that can occur in response to certain cancer treatments such as radiotherapy.
